The General Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock of the Government of La Rioja (Spain) organized the Conference
Precision Agriculture from data to the field, whose objective is to present the advances of agriculture of precision and the implementation of these tools in farms. Dr. Andújar member of CSIC ( Spanish National Research Council) presented the latest breakthroughs of DACWEED. It stands for Detection and ACtuation system for WEED management.

The DACWEED project is an EIT-Food project that will implement and combine novel components that already exist on the market: machine vision techniques, ISOBUS communication, and smart sprayers. Sensor data deriving from cameras will provide the input to a Neural Network in order to:
1. separate the crop from weeds
2. make decisions for herbicide spraying
3. communicate actions through the ISOBUS to the relevant implements or tractor movements.
